Have you seen the Natural Seal?

Source: talkingmakeup.com

As the demand for “natural” personal care products – such as lotions, balms and shampoos – continues to soar, manufacturers are responding with a host of new products. Some are natural, some aren’t. But how is a shopper to know? Until now, consumers had no idea what was truly natural since there was no standard definition of the term used by industry.

The Natural Products Association Seal

That is no longer the case. To end this confusion and help consumers, the Natural Products Association announced on 6/4/2008 a new certification program which defines natural and includes an easily-identified seal. Shoppers can expect the seal to begin appearing on certified personal care products such as Aubrey Organics, Badger Balm, Burt’s Bees, California Baby, Farmaesthetics, Trilogy Fragrances, and Weleda in the coming months.

Protection PERFECTION for Summer from Stila Cosmetics

Source: talkingmakeup.com

Whether you’re at the beach or on the street, SPF protection is a must for summer. So why not perfect your summer skin as you protect it?

Stila Cosmetics brings you makeup that holds up under the summer sun as it shields you from its harmful rays. Stila’s lightweight formulas offer full SPF protection and leave skin glowing, smooth and radiant.

SPF 20 Shine Lip Color and Oil Free Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 are the latest SPF products from Stila that guard skin while providing stellar coverage with just a hint of color. For superior complexion protection this summer, Stila has you covered.

Try these summer must-haves from Stila for sun-safe skin:

Illuminating Liquid Foundation SPF 15 ($36.00)
What it is: A silky, lightweight foundation for sheer to medium coverage.
What it does: Hides flaws and imperfections to create a luminous, airbrushed look. The semi-matte finish evens out natural skin tone, enhancing true beauty.
How it does it: Via mica, tiny crystals found in nature that reflect light and leave skin radiant and glowing.

From the expert: “This formula is perfect for sensitive skin or dry skin,” explains Lucero. “The foundation hydrates as it illuminates for natural, even coverage that never flakes or fades.”

What it does: Provides full protection from harmful UVA and UVB rays as it evens skin tone and blends flaws. How it does it: White Willow Bark absorbs oil while Silk Amino Acids moisturize and smooth skin, improving natural barrier protection.

From the expert: “This is a must-have for the summer and for all skin types and tones-it leaves your skin looking healthy and polished,” says Lucero. “The texture feels creamy and light on the skin. Try using this alone or under your favorite powder. It can even be layered for extra coverage.”

Just in case you didn’t know, the Sex & The City movie is about to launch. Here is an idea to celebrate your favorite show: NUVO Sparkling Cosmopolitan.

Sex & The City

The drink of choice for the Sex & The City ladies was Cosmopolitan-they made it big. There is a scene in the movie where the girls are sitting around a table drinking Como’s and asking why they have stopped drinking them and one remarked that it was because “everyone else started to”-this is where NUVO Sparkling Cosmopolitan comes in-it is a modern take on the typical Cosmo, plus it’s sparkling.

Here are some facts about NUVO Sparkling Cosmopolitan:

NUVO Sparkiling Cosmopolitan

  • NUVO is the must-have accessory for a stylish, sophisticated lifestyle
  • Housed in an ultra-chic bottle that resembles those originally made for perfume, NUVO is something that should be displayed
  • The drink itself is a fun and festive soft pink hue that not only looks stunning in one’s glass but adds to the overall décor and flair of a party
